Do your own research. Research board members. Look up what people are saying about the companies online. I am still new but have found this to be true. Do not trust anyone. Do not buy on a text from companies. Even if they look reputable. They are what you hear as a pump and dump. They talk the stock up or give you a last minute text to buy and by the time you do they sell all their shares at a high price and you hold shares that have lost value by up to 30% or more.
