Cisco got some claims ruled unpatentable.

ORDERED that claims 1, 2, 5, 6, 19, 20, 23, and 29 of the ’822 patent are unpatentable; #7,941,822 B2

This goes with link sent not invalidated "As a whole", that is, the patent in it's entirety is not negated.

These unpatentable claims may have been extra detail background technical information describing the patent as a whole and in totality.

Utility patents must be novel (new), useful and non obvious.
