I agree low share price for a merger doesn't make sense

Any news on the merger will cause the pps to sky rocket.

I see why it could make sense, to make UAT appear cheaper and make it easier to be bought out. This would apply if he doesnt care about his stake in the company.

But, if im CEO and i have stake in my company. I want to be bought out at highest price possible.

Sell at the lowest if you're just trying to get rid of it
