There was a stock in 2004 that had about 40000 shareholders known, it had at least 6 message forums and several chat rooms dedicated to it , it had over 700 billion outstanding shares as compared to the ANDI 3.5 Billion

So yeah stocks get cult followings and not unlike ANDI talk of huge PPS were tossed around and it finally was halted and then revoked and most of the officers went to jail
