Unfortunately the BOEM only lists the dates when applications are filed after the permit has been issued. Canoe is working its way through the system. (Tau apparently has been held up. I would suspect that that is due to Gulfslope not having some data that is required.) So the Canoe permit should be issued within the next few weeks. That will at least give the rig somewhere to go. Canoe and followup drilling, if it’s a discovery, could keep them busy for quite some time if they are waiting on the Tau permit. So I don’t see any problem at this point in getting the drilling program going. If Tau has some major problem they can move to one of the other deep prospects. But they would have to get Delek to agree to that. I’m sure everyone at Gulfslope is very eager to get drilling, and I think they are working as hard as they can to get things moving.
