A tell into CEO Steve Smith's character

Didn't see this in the Info Box, and not sure if someone has posted this yet, but found this little 2015 Forbes interview with Steve Smith gem interesting..

I found some of his answers interesting that it reaffirms what kind of person and professional he truly is..

"Trust and loyalty. When you’re starting a new company, that’s what you need. You have a limited amount of bandwidth and time to get things done, so you have to make sure to trust the people with whom you launch. I didn’t want to have to manage them, really. I can name off four or five people on the team that I‘ve known for more than ten years. Two or three of them are very close friends, which makes it exciting for everyone. Part of the reason I structured the company so everyone has options and equity is that every member of the team has skin in the game and benefits from it’s success long-term."

"I liquidated quite a bit of my personal assets to invest and get the company started initially."

fast foward to today.. He just posted this on linkedin..

My daughter Moorea Smith is graduating in May with a Marketing degree and looking for a full time position. She’s been working the last 4 years for Warner Music as a college marketing rep.

He has a daughter going into the same field, and I believe he has more of a reason now to be a good example for his daughter.

Steve Smith will take us to copper and beyond! Do the DD!

JMO of course.

I'm an optimist trying to be a more of a realist, in a pessimist's world.
