I ran across this that actually means nothing but??? Republic of Korea putting money into the pot. IMO strange bedfellows. Which part of Korea goes by The Republic? What do they expect in return?

Nicaragua: $39 million for Sanitation With a loan from CABEI, a sewage and wastewater treatment system will be built in Bluefields, in the Caribbean.

These funds will be supplemented with $21 million contributed by the government of the Republic of Korea.

From a statement issued by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration:

Managua, April 6, 2018.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit in Nicaragua today signed a loan for US $38,804,000.0 to partially finance the "Bluefields Sanitation Project".

The project is part of the National Human Development Plan (PNDH), which proposes a water and sanitation policy whose objectives include increasing effective coverage, improving the quality of the service, promoting the rational use of water and ensuring the maintenance of existing water systems and networks.
