I am watching for a string of 2-3 up days this week and next, where my 401k and HSA accounts both rise enough to be in the black for the year (need the market to rise 2-4% from end of last week level). Once the market achieves this (and I think it will at some point in April), I will be quick on the sell trigger to get out.
Once out, I will wait/watch for another significant market decline, and attempt to get back in at a low point.
If I have to sit out all summer, I'm OK with that.
'Sell in May, and go away'...until the fall.
