Well I have some difference of opinions of who I liked and who I didn't but here goes.
1) Dominique- I actually Liked. I thought he was solid performer and vocalist, but I thought it was rock solid. Grade B
2) Layla- she can sing, but the problem is her tone for me, no matter what she does that tone is gonna get in the way for me. Grade C
3) Caity- I totally disagree she was awful. She can't sing a lick, I know the judges like her quirkiness, I think this is a singing competition and she has one of the weakest voices out there. Grade D
4) Dennis- Not perfect, but good vocal and decent performance. although he was missing something. Song wasn't great either in my opinion. Grade B-
5) Michelle- The judges for some reason liked her. She makes caity look good. That was by far the worst performance of the night, not even close. Grade F
6) Michael- Very weird and quirky style hit some decent notes, but a bit broadwayish for me which is not a complement, and more importantly can hardly understand what he is saying, he is so not clear. Grade C-
7) Trevor- Like his voice a lot and the song, although I don't think last night was his best vocal. Still better than most of these though. Grade B+
8) Jonny- I no the girls go nuts for him, but the song could of been better and he is missing something. On a positive note good control and very clear. Grade B-
9) Kay Kay- A little over dramatic like you said, but at the same time that song is a bit overdramatic. I had no problem understanding here, numerous imperfections in the vocal, she also hit some really good notes along the way as well. Degree of difficulty was extremely high, but there was some pitching and timing issues to hold her back. Grade C+
10) Brandon- who you totally forgot, man that is rough. LOL. He sang LR song, he starts off decent, was a trainwreck in the middle, and was excellent at the end. The middle of that song was so bad it canceled out how good the end was. and the beginnings was just above average for me, so that reflects the grade I gave. Grade C+
11) Gabby- Don't love her tone, but not nearly as bad as layla, not something I can't get over. Overall I think she sang real well especially towards the end (although a little overdone.) I thought she had a very good vocal. Grade B+
12) Cabe- KP was going nuts which was crazy. Now moving on he is excellent at what he does, but even rock singer sing ballads eventually, at some point, he is going to show he can sing a ballad otherwise he becomes a one trick pony, nice trick, but that ain't enough for me. Having said that those are more longer-term comments and not comments for this week. He could be more clear though. Grade B+
