Some interesting comments in this thread. While some diversification is likely prudent, too much diversification simply means you will match the market performance of the brainless and herds. Not necessarily a bad thing. Buy a mutual fund and forget about individual stocks. But anyone here does have some sort of penchant for individual stocks so everyone wants to crush the market. A noble and wise goal though difficult. I personally see a basket of individual undervalued stocks to be an awesome money maker and a great hedge to any crash of the market. They move on their own, not with the market.

And with respect to buying or selling now just ahead of the Q4 release. I would argue it is the OPTIMUM time to either buy or sell since it seems likely a big move is coming soon. Why tie up one's money too far ahead of time or risk a big loss if you are leaning to selling.

With VTSI, the downside is limited because of the revenue and EPS and balance sheet behind the company. It simply cannot get crazy stupid low. The upside is unlimited at this point for the same reasons and a few more. And when one weighs the likelihood of good news vs. bad news over the next 8 weeks I think I would rather be a buyer today than a seller. So maybe I will!
