nidan, BP is still very actively investigating AD. There has been no shut down. Only Pfizer is stopping their AD programs

If you simply go to clinicaltrials.gov and search Alzheimers and then narrow the search down by looking at 'recruiting or not yet recruiting' trials, interventional trials and Phase II and Phase III you find 122 results. Some are duplicates and some are for symptoms or imaging but there are at least 50 therapeutic drugs, about 1/2 are 'Big Pharma'

There are many different mechanisms being evaluated, not just amyloid. Locally, there are active recruiting studies for drugs by Biogen, Genentech, Lilly and Janssen
