Personally, I consolidated all of my escrow markers into a single account but it was done with all accounts belonging to TDA. I just linked the accounts together and then did a transfer and TDA treated it like a regular stock.

I assume that the same thing applies with accounts from different brokerages. When you change brokers, you just do a transfer rather than sell and then buy back which carry a tax consequence or having to pay higher when you buy back.

As a precaution, I keep my accounts which used to have the markers, just in case that the broker gives me trouble and I can show proof that I owned it in the old account.
