I think there is more than enough evidence that they created multiple products and sold them to consumers, which is not an easy task. They had revenues... but the product didn't sell well enough. With more $$$ for advertising, it might have done better.
It was just a struggling company trying to compete in a VERY difficult consumables market. Real or fake, you decide...
