I think a lot of people forget about the fact that every investment is based on confidence and that everyone had a pps they have already figured in their minds that they plan to get out on. Most are buying just like gambling, so they are hoping to get rich quick. This leads to short term holdings. Those who truly value a company leave their money in because they believe in it and want to see the company do well. The “noise” is really people emotions coming out in the pps. Granted there are mm’s but they are people too. They’ve just learned to thrive off those who don’t know what they’re doing. Fact is, most long and have the long term goals in mind. Like what was already posted about dilution, it can benefit the company but they seem quite transparent and would say if they were or not....I would venture a guess.
