Just an FYI on Brokers...

Scottrade had outrageous charges on stocks under $1, was $7 + 1/2 of 1% principal. Could amount to huge dollars as was pointed out in someones earlier post.

TDA - Flat rate on all stocks, think it is $6.99. Will automatically extend margin in the form of "day trades" on IRA's if you maintain a $25K balance. Your trading activity results in a classification (e.g. Day Trader), all determined by an internal algorithm.

Best charting that I have seen.

Etrade - Can offer lower pricing of trades, and I think I am at $4.99 per trade.

Etrade-pro provides free access to Trade-Ideas termed "Strategy Scanner" on their platform, and was available on Scottrade for a price. If you want to know more about Trade-Ideas just google the term.
