I ended up at TD in the Scottrade deal also. Call TD they will cover the costs charged to your account for RS. My commissions are $6.95 no matter what I trade also. Yet to determine if TD is better than Scottrade.

Some people are like slinkies. They serve absolutely no useful purpose. But still put a smile on your face when pushed down a flight of stairs.
