I've often thought that if Meany & Co. ran into someone who was serious about trying to take control that they would take it private. I think the deliberate lack of news etc. was a defense against letting the company become too attractive to someone. It is an attractive candidate for acquisition. Meany is just not going to let it go up or go away. The company is a labor of love for him. I don't think he's in it for the potential wealth that it could provide.
