I’ve been wearing this tinfoil hat all afternoon. It’s been mentioned on this board that there may be a relationship between SPCL and Oreva Capital, Oreva owns High Times and is looking to be acquired by Origo. On the following speculation, tell me if I’m out of line with my reasoning....
For years, Apple has had loads of money in offshore accounts, waiting to invest. Trump releases the burden for companies to get back into the business of investing in America again.
I’m certain Apple could care less about the high dollar premium it paid for Texture - they were clearly looking to acquire market share. It’s not off the wall to think that Apple didn’t shop PixelMags also - some of the same players own Texture and PixelMags - they may have, may not have, we don’t know. But if they did, SPCL would just increase their market visibility and it would seem logical High Times would have been discussed.
What if Apple decided to dip their hand in the High Times Merger? The legal Mary Jane industry is brand new to the investment markets and a company like Apple may want get their hands on an established and respectable business...as a “safe investment” into the marijuana industry - Will someone calculate the growth rate of this industry over the next 20 years as more states legalize its use?
For weeks, I’ve felt we were being misled on the entire dilution issue, I think we are purposefully being “squeezed.”
