Ran into a cool deal on the local 'Next Door" site,

a woman who was ISO some building materials got into a conversation with another woman who offered help She happened to mention she had started raising/ keeping chickens for eggs and that she was giving them away for free to anyone who wanted them. A bunch of us jumped out of the shadows and said "heck yes". She said just drop your empty egg cartons(1 per)off at an Ameristop in a rural community about 4 miles from here with your name and number and she'd give us a call in 5-7 days that they're ready to p.u..

I just dropped off my carton and can't wait to see how much difference I can tell between farm fresh and Joe's, where Im getting my eggs now. The woman at the Ameristop said she must have good 'layers' by the brisk trade she's doing. Doubt you'd see such an accommodating retailer in a more urban setting.
