But of even greater significance is that not a one of those folks, nor any other PhD neurology or biochemistry researcher has uttered a single sentence telling how the Anavex sigma-1 receptor agonist mechanism of action is wrong, fails to restore neuron homeostasis, or challenges any of the scientific claims of the company.

The professional silence on the matter is deafening — and utterly affirmative, for those of us familiar with academic discourse on new scientific findings or presentations. PhDs don’t challenge things that they know to be true, after having read all of the supportive papers on the subject.

If the Anavex stuff didn’t work and had no plausible clinical applications, there would have been detailed statements all over the Internet about the bad Anavex science by a host of knowledgeable PhDs — especially from competing pharmaceutical companies.

Several times I’ve challenged Anavex critics to post here, for our scrutinizing consideration, any published scientific evidence, by practicing science academics or researchers that any of Anavex’s contentions are in error.
