Institutional fund managers are not going to buy AVXL. A few might participate in a future stock offering but otherwise they are not going to touch this stock. They're not bottom fishers and they prefer to buy derisked stocks (of which there are many). Fund managers also typically have oversight of their positions, so it is not purely at their discretion. Anavex is a bulletin board company with a Nasdaq stock listing that smart money isn't going to touch. And neither is big pharma.
