It's a provisional patent app, big difference.

I was excited when I first heard about this filing and disappointed when I read through it. The hybrid battery is nothing new. It's the same battery technology used in electric cars. Hybrid Electric Storage Systems (HESS)

Anyone read that app? I did and the only thing that I see as being FERN propietary technology is in Figure 3. That's the only figure stamped with Fernhill Corp.

Figure 3 details the battery balancing and system management circuit. Which may be propietary in the fact that it's FERNs own "flavor" of a battery balancing and system management circuit. This isn't new technology either as I stated prior, hybrid cars and other electric devices that use HESS, all have their own style of battery balancing and management circuit/hardware (so they don't blow up and other reasons).

If I were reviewing this for patent approval (in actuality I wouldn't because it's a provisional application) I would have almost no idea what the inventor is actually claiming to have invented. It's all information on the problem description and not much on the solution.
