By not selling a month ago when the market first turned down, I was able to ride it back up when it moved higher in February. Both my 401k and HSP funds were nearly back to their January highs at the beginning of this week. Then this week happened.
With the slight up turn today from yesterday, my fear is I have 'locked in my losses' by following my rules and selling and going to cash yesterday.
Trading with rules is not perfect either. A combination of rules and gut feel might be best.
