Well written analogy. My question would be, who is our opponent? Is it another micro Biotec? BP? FDA rules? Money? Time? We need to be clearer about what the immediate and longer term targets are and we need that now. This vacuum must be filled by leadership and I am not singling out Dr. M. for criticism. Someone has to identify the targets, focus assets, set the timeline and execute. IMO, the fact that BIIB is now going through some challenges presents to only clear skirmishing on the field, but it is probably not the big enough action.

IMO, when the FDA shut down AD and reset all CNS(an assumption based on evidence)they inadvertently created a vacuum which they and the rest of us were not prepared for. Say what you want about Biotec investing but it's never quiet, sp thrives on sparks and spectacular events (+/-).

IMO, M has to recognize the context we are in. Wings get no lift in a vacuum, nothing will fly. Sound does not travel in vacuum, laws of physics are clear enough; etc. Leaders are recognized by the actions they take, in fact that is all leadership is. Leaders(which he has demonstrated to be)take action while everyone else is standing around.

AVXL have declared the field is ours now we have to act like it.
