Les,

I did not definitively say the Government would stay with Microsoft but you can bet the farm they will be involved since they are so embedded in the current architecture. I did read your posted articles but I did not get the warm fuzzy feeling or even of hint of where they are headed other then to know they are looking to replace (upgrade) there existing systems. If Encrypt One gets a patent it will certainly go a long way toward stamping an approval on the unique nature of its software and maybe the Government will give them a look. However, once again, I have to rely heavily on my experience working with the Government as an auditor for 30 years. As an audit organization, we were always kept on the cutting edge of the technology being introduced, at least with respect to office systems. Before I left in 2012, the big deal was card key technology (PKI) being used to encrypt communication. I cannot tell you who they were working with to enhance that technology as I was an end-user and really did not care about the work being done to create or implement the technology. However, we were told that PKI was the future of secured communication.

I am really not sure what Encrypt One has to offer regarding software security so I am not a good candidate to suggest who or what will replace the current system but if it's Encrypt One it will have to compete or improve PKI. Our audit mission entailed dealing exclusively with DOD contracts so I was not involved in the money being spent to enhance or replace information systems technology (that was the IG's responsibility). However, I do know there was billions being spent on Government systems R&D. That is why it would shake me to the core to believe the Government would now replace its office systems infrastructure with some "plug and play" software being introduced and promoted by a penny stock company. I am not saying it would not be a good choice (although I'm really not sure how robust Encrypt One is) but I do know the Government was (is) spending billions to research and develop information systems and every large business in the WORLD is vying for a piece of that hog trough of money.

Given the money being spent and the businesses that are involved I cannot accept the idea that Encrypt One will be the choice to replace the monster that the Government has created as it relates to office systems infrastructure. You seem to want me to give you a specific name of the company the Government will go with and I cannot do that. In fact, my guess is that the Government itself does not know that answer at this time. But BVTK????? I will continue to say that is HIGHLY unlikely. Would LOVE to see it happen but seems too much a pipe dream.
