Paullee - Regarding Huawei license expiring at the end of 2018

Consider the following:

* When the Huawei license was signed, it is my opinion that no license with IDCC contained a provision for 5G
* I anticipate that Huawei refused to execute a license with IDCC going into 2019 without a provision for 5G
* In my opinion, it is to IDCC's advantage to have a power player that does not have the "China baggage" establish the very first royalty rate for 5G technology

I anticipate a patent sale from IDCC to someone in order that the new owner can establish the 5G royalty rate for this patent portfolio as it applies to cellular technology. IDCC will than pursue IOT and smart cities 5G technologies with a basket full of cash from the patent sale. JMHO
