Thanks for reaching out and for the kind words! I am glad to hear you are a part of our great company! Let’s have a great 2018!
The audit. Yes. It’s frustrating that it’s taken longer then originally expected but I think maybe the auditors didn’t realize the multitude of transactions that they would have to go through when we signed the engagement letter and they gave an estimated date of completion. The truth is as I mentioned in our recent pr’s is that it’s super close to being done. Every day I feel like we are going to get the good news. Our item requests started out pages long, every time we got through the list another one would be sent that was pages long. An audit is not a fun process to say the least. Lol The requests became smaller and smaller over time and the last couple of requests have been one item here one item there which is why I know any day now we are going to get the good word.
All I can really do is say what I have been saying and reiterating in that, it’s coming soon. It’s frustrating for me that I can’t give a more concrete answer but I’m really just at their mercy until they complete it. I also feel that constantly saying coming soon can agitate someone not first hand going through the process and just wondering why it took so long overall. Good thing is that going forward it will be a much smoother and timelier process as we will never have to do a large multi year audit again with a new firm that has to create opening numbers from scratch. They can continue on from their own numbers and will be familiar with our file.
So unfortunately I can really only be a broken record here and say it’s coming soon. They were hoping to be done last week and we’ve not been asked for any further items since. It could very likely be done this week but I’ve been wrong before and I don’t want people to get their hopes up only to be let down again. But I can say I believe we will have it in the matter of days, not weeks which is what I’ve alluded to in recent press.
