It has become increasingly clear that misregulation or mutations of epigenetic enzymes are at the basis of a broad range of syndromes and diseases [41]. Mutations in epigenetic enzymes are frequently observed in cancer [42], intellectual disability [43], neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s disease [44], and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis [45–47] and type 1 diabetes [48]. Mikesc, thanks for this valuable information. My very quick scan of this 11/2016 paper suggests that yes, it is possible AVXL SAB have been driving in this direction.
