so we(i used to) will take most anything prescribed to us by a doctor without questioning or reading the label. that is not being 'stupid' it is just how we were conditioned. it is a shame it is not wise to be that way anymore.

Consider a different point of view. The next time you see one of these products advertised(particularly on TV) pay more attention to the long list of disclaimers at the end..it's a form of labelling and the FDA lets them do it every day. Of course we all understand they cannot evaluate/test for every possible side effect...
