If it takes 5 or 6 programs open at the same time, included GuardedID, to notice the difference then it's an artificial construct to assign the blame to SFOR, without a double blind test. It could be any of the 5 or 6, it could be the aggregate effect of the programs running at once, there's no basis to say it's this program. You would absolutely need to notice at what point your machine slows, then swap out Guarded with something else to see if it was specifically the cause. What if the replacement was Photoshop? Or GoogleDrive?
Anyway if you're concerned about computer speed, purge your caches and get rid of pictures and videos on the hard drive that you mistakenly think are gone because you've trashed them. Maybe your machine is mucked up to begin with.
