The way I see it is this. Roger could have went bargain basement on flagship. This would have gotten midtown up and running faster no doubt. Corners could have been cut. Cheaper contractors could have been used. Less quality materials could have been purchased. A cheaper location could have been chosen. Why would they not go that direction? I hope it's obvious. Ask one self, what is bmw's flagship? I'll call it the m5. Power, Style, luxury. This does not mean every BMW built will be an m5. Getting back to AMFE and the Snakes midtown flagship. When potential franchisors meet to discuss business, Roger has the ability to show his vision for the franchise. He can show prospects a quality building, and the benefits of investing in quality. Will the new franchises match our flagship in scale? I doubt it. Will they match the attention to detail? I would assume so. I may opt for a standard 3 series over a m5, but that doesn't change the fact that the build quality is superior regardless. I hope this makes sense as to why one doesn't skimp on a flagship.
