Quite a few people more sophisticated than McDougal have said Trump can be "charming" when he wants something. We know from accounts of his other sexual adventures that he flatters the woman, tells her how "beautiful" and "smart" she is. She's probably heard the "beautiful" before, but perhaps the "smart" comes as a pleasing surprise.

So if he tells a woman he wants to sleep with that she's "smart", that may translate into "he's intelligent" for her.
