Could someone explain to me why there are all these super small trades? Like for instance the 90,000 trades on Friday. These are what, $9 trades? Certainly they aren’t from anyone buying or selling this stock to make a profit, it’s a $9 trade. So what is the purpose of these trades? Is some doing it to keep the action going, so there are some trades and some volume, preventing the stock from going back to no bid, or is there some other purpose for it?
