I'm discouraged by the spotty enforcement of dispensaries in Toronto. Actually I'm pissed about it. There were many raids, but several shops persist, making lots of cash. I know it's a beat to death analogy, but you certainly don't see illegal breweries/grey-market LCBOs - so why the leeway for pot shops (legally I understand why, but it bothers me nonetheless).
On a positive note, I'm very encouraged by the increasingly positive attitude regarding the quality of Canopy's product. I can't wait to try it (don't have medical auth).
Finally, a related post on smoking being dead, I suspect you are very much right. I think smoking a joint will seem like a very antiquated thing very quickly - and this can only benefit the legal suppliers.
As a person who is generally optimistic about Canopy's long-term prospects I think it's vital to be short-term pessimistic to keep my enthusiasm in check.
