Interesting, to say the least. We have land in Texas that is surface mined for lignite (younger coal). It is used for electricity generation. Surface would be more economical, but hard dense coal is much more costly to recover. 60,000 per month might be just enough to cover overhead. Would be interesting to see some core figures, along with acre foot expectations.
