Yes, I'm sure APPLE is well aware of Lis intentions. APPLE will no longer be able to determine the "when". Li is hot on the road to develop it. Either it was a great bit of chess playing or APPLE is
in a joint venture and allowed it all to happen. China is very aggressive in all aspects of new technology. Robots, AI, Electric Cars, Wind Turbines (technology stolen from a US company, and then the US buys the turbines from China). And eventually BMG's will be in Chinas space program and the Military.
This, hopefully, is the best thing that could have ever happened to us...beyond our wildest dreams.
