You must be kidding.... The media, from 2008 onward, was used to taint and smear WAMU, and make it look like WAMU was partly responsible for all the bad loans and 2008 financial disaster. We may all know the truth but the rest of the country still has memories of 2008 and what the media told them of WAMU...

Kolberg, Kravits, Roberts are pioneers with good reputations... They would never exchange their 40 years of hard work in exchange for the WAMU name... They might merge and take the WAMU assets, but not the name.. That would make terrible marketing sense... That is my only point... If you don't agree with that, then you know little about marketing and people wanting a good reputation, and something to be remembered by....
