I believe Anavex is trying the same approach in Neurological Diseases as what has been done in cancer 7 years ago. There approach has never been done before. I believe this is the reason for delays. Anavex BOD/SAB/Missling/Fadrin must have had good reason to resubmit the IND for Retts based on DNA biomarkers they found, and design the trial inclusion/exclusion around them. He said himself these finding will be presented at a future scientific conference. Would he and Anavex present this a Bio Conference if it wasn't significant? Personally, I dont think so. Although other think Missling is a crook or lair. I believe the exact opposite after doing more research about targeted therapy. Before you "target" anything, you must know what the target is, dont you? True for the Military firing missiles at the enemy and true for drug companies using DNA Biomarkers to target a certain population WHO HAVE THE GREATEST LIKELIHOOD OF RESPONDING TO THE TREATMENT/DRUG. You have to know the target. How can you have precision medicine if you are not being "precise" in who exactly you giving the "medicine" too??

With cancer treatment, Im sure people scoffed at the idea when first implementing "targeted therapy AKA Precision Medicine. I am also sure that the first time it was done it took longer than expected to start the first trial. But what was the end result. It revolutionized cancer treatments an success rates. I am very happy Anavex is not going down the same road as others who have failed. The reason I invested in Anavex was there approach was "different". Ask yourself, what is the definition of insanity? You all know the answer to this age old saying don't you? Anavex is not insane, quite the opposite don't you think?
