I've been noticing on level II that the the MM called VFCM has been constantly putting large asks up, but I think they're almost always fake asks. They'll put say an ask of 10K there on the ask, along with some other smaller MMs, and then someone buys 100 shares, and suddenly their 10K ask disappears. They don't really want to sell them. They're just putting them there to make it look like there is some kind of downward selling pressure. Just another form of manipulation.
