You asked for a clue. I have an opinion. It is based on information gleaned mostly from this board so you may want to take it with a grain of salt. :)

First, I believe that certain parties expected to end up with certain assets and when equity survived with POR7, these parties realized the might not get to keep those assets.

Lots of obfuscation has occurred, starting with JPMC having the books to WMI (not just WMB) as well as the infamous scriveners error. I suspect many other attempts to hide or obfuscate information have occurred. Also, I expect any requests for such information are delayed as long as possible for no better reason than they can be.

I personally suspect the bulk of the money that has been spent by the LT has been for forensic accounting in an attempt to identify, locate, and plan to obtain these assets.

Those that hold them are in a position to benefit from them because their profits of using the wealth will be greater than the interest they will be charged once the relinquish those assets. For that reason alone, it pays to delay.

Furthermore, every day they delay gives them more time to think of new ways to keep the assets as well as further obfuscate, siphon, and hide the wealth.

Not to mention the additional confusion (and therefore additional chances for success) that would occur if the judge were to retire, leave the bench, or cease to be involved in any other way.

Delaying by any means only helps those who are in possession at this time.

Additionally, it is possible that there could be criminal investigations going on behind the scenes. These are notorious for delaying the release of information and could also be contributing to delays of payment as distribution of cash would also be considered 'information'.

While it is inappropriate to suggest that the judge is 'on our side', it is appropriate to state that the judge is searching for justice. If we believe we are in the right, we can expect that the judge is indirectly protecting our interests.

To speed this up, it would be interesting for the judge to issue an edict that after a certain date, the interest rate will be increased (from that point forward) to a confiscatory level to encourage a speedy end to this funeral march. I do not know if that is allowed or if, in reality, it is prudent.

I do believe that someday we will reap the benefits and they will be large. I just hope I am young enough to enjoy them when they arrive.

ALL OF THIS IS MY OPINION
