It just occurred to me that it is likely that avxl is going to use the Rett trial to prove the selection rules developed by Ariana. Or at least some of them.

That would explain why M would wouldn't start the AD trial until there were early indications from the Rett trial.

That also might explain some of the delay in the Rett trial. They would need to get the selection criteria incorporated into the IND and approved by the FDA. I can see the FDA having question abut the basis for the selections criteria if they were non-standard in any way.
