IMO-IDCC has an unprecedented opportunity to take the lead in structuring license agreements that become the example of FRAND.While qcom dukes it out with the industry,we have a window open to us that I hope management recognizes and takes advantage of,because it is not business as usual in wireless.Long, drawn out litigation is not the way to maximize our value. We have shown that we can win in court and win big, so I believe that the unlicensed players know that litigation is a loser for them as well.A creative approach is needed to partner with the major players in providing on going ipr for the industry at a cost that everyone can live with.Because so much falls to the bottom line,I think we should be able to be flexible in structuring licenses that the industry worlwide can use as an example in dealing with qcom.The window is open, but we don't know for how long,so please Mr. Merritt etal, be flexible and fair and take advantage of this great opportunity to maximize shareholder value.
