Agreed -- but I've see so many weird things with Windows and/or Chrome etc. that trying to find out the "why" they happen is just frustrating.
For example, why do we still have to re-boot for some things to fix themselves yet we don't have to every time?

Over the years, System Restore has helped me out innumerable times. I've had to re-install the operating system only a couple of times over the past 25-30 years due to "whatever" problems (virus, Trojan or ...).
I understand having to replace a hard drive or a monitor (etc) due to mechanical failures ... but I don't understand having to continue to "fix" software...
