I grew up in Las Vegas for most of my life so I know exactly what you mean when you talk about the drive from Las Vegas to Southern California, the last time I took the trip it was about a 6 hour drive (for a trip that is supposed to take about 4). I agree that there is a lot of untapped potential for this railroad, but the question is does Michael Barron/Wayne Bailey truly want to move forward with this, or is it just a scam as everyone is saying. The one thing that makes me skeptical of this whole thing is the fact that I can go on Youtube and find videos of Barron in 2010 saying that the railroad from LA to LV is supposed to go online in 2012-2014. Well here we are 8 years later and still the only thing that they have to show is their small X-Wine railroad.

I actually had a chance to meet Michael Barron when I was enrolled in a railroad engineering course in college. He seemed like a genuine guy who really wanted this to succeed. Obviously first looks can be deceiving, but who knows. Also, the professor who taught this course is on the board of directors for the company. I spoke with him very recently and he hoped for good things in 2018 and claimed that the company had already overcame many hurdles. You can take that for what you will, but hopefully it is true.
