If WMIIC had put back commitments itself why was there no claims for same made against that debtor in bankruptcy?

DB had to get a claim for an amount equal to the put back requirements so that the beneficiaries could not later sue DB for settling for much less. The fact that the Beneficiaries are owed 2.4 billion more than what the recivership may be able to pay is not the fault of DB. But if DB did not even try to get the full amount and only asked for a 600 million claim, the beneficiaries could assert that DB hurt them by not even trying,
