...the market for XXII becomes significantly smaller if not almost irrelevant, if tide moves to "non-burn" tobacco use. The harm is the burning...not the nicotine.

That is apparently what the so called "anti-smoking" community is saying. No position...so hurts me not. (ps. options in other equities exploding to the upside...is where I am invested...100% in a day or two in call options is compelling in this market, as well as selling puts, as you can see everywhere. Chart looks good...but not enticing enough for me to jump in either on technicals or fundamentals).

We agree... but jury out on "What Pie" is left. It would appear the logical and ethical solution would be to ban all "burn"...and permit the alternatives...in which case VLN becomes irrelevant. But big T and states would not go that route without kicking very hard.

Translation..."we are going to fight it tooth and nail!"...arguing the action by FDA is "arbitrary and capricious" and that FDA have not done enough extensive studies to take actions..., for example..."VLN causes more smoking to get Nicotine fix, therefore ingestion of more carcinogens, aggravating the problem...not alleviating health hazards. (that will be just one of the arguments...during transition stage of Non-burn tobacco products.
but remember...elimination of "Burn" = elimination of need for "VLN" since it is the smoke that is deadly, not the nicotine.
meanwhile...enjoy your chart...and potential break-out...but I am not interested in going there. (keep your eyes on AGIO, ARGX and SAGE...and selling inflated puts on a weekly basis, and buying ITM calls on MSFT, ORCL, CSCO...so many opportunities yet to come...Budget not passing will likely bring a short term pullback and buying opportunity elsewhere).
