Oh yes, I totally get that. And we did tests from before the bull market. Without using Vealies I think a lot of AIM users would have been cashed out way early in this crazy market we are currently in. (Vealie is the greatest addition to AIM, IMO). An AIM user was also behind 20% (depending which flavor of AIM you subscribe to) to begin with vs the Buy and Holders. Personally I find that it's the 4% tax bill vs the 30% tax bill that makes AIM shine.
I'm thinking of running AIM on 10% dividend paying REITs. I think it would work well in that situation.
