A couple of months ago my wife had knee replacement on her second knee. While sitting in her room I saw every person who entered the room use a foam disinfectant as they entered the room and again as they left the room so I suspect that all good hospitals do that now.

Even with that her surgeon asked if she had any other health problems because that would affect where he did the surgery. We ended up using a small hospital that has a whole floor just for knee, hip, etc replacements. No other patients are put on that floor
