The US Bankruptcy Court gave an order approving the sale of substantially all the assets of Lithium Technology Corp. on April 6, 2016. The debtor has been authorized to sell its substantially all its assets to The Virium Group for a purchase price of $2.5 million in cash and credit bid. The debtor did not receive any other competing bids for the purchase of its assets and therefore The Virium Group emerged as the winning bidder.

Bulgarian lead acid battery producer Monbat Group has acquired two lithium ion battery businesses in Germany, Monbat said in a filing. The price of the deal was not disclosed. The Bulgarian company is acquiring all assets of Gaia Akkumulatorenwerke GmbH and EAS Germany GmbH and is merging them into the Nordhausen-based EAS Batteries GmbH.
