Biogen is in a totally different league than Anavex or perhaps, better said, Anavex is in a totally different league than Biogen, IMO. Biogen’s drugs offer symptomatic relief, no matter how short-lived, to MS sufferers. Quality of life issues are not even a part of the mix in the drug substances Biogen puts on the market. But, Biogen’s MS franchise has been profitable for them, so in that regard, Biogen has succeeded, not in scientific discovery, but in business. Anavex, it seems, has succeeded in scientific discovery, but, up until today, not in business. I just hope that Anavex does not sell its soul to Biogen. The CNS sufferers need Anavex to succeed in its scientific ventures more than they need Biogen to succeed in its business ventures. All my opinion. Investors need to do their own DD.
